Your post kinda reminds me of a Western movie where a farmer challenges a stranger to a draw. Turns out the stranger was Doc Halliday. Luck was with the farmer when the professional gunfighter, seeing no gain in killing the farmer, spared his life. I saw that movie decades ago. I've never forgot the lesson about knowing who you're up against and I apply it to the market daily. Although I cannot assess the strength of my opponents (trade counterparties) with any accuracy, I can review my own abilities and proceed with caution. I'm convinced that more money has been lost through over-confidence coupled with meager experience than general market declines. Cheers, PW.
