<<this is a no-brainer !>>

I'm not too sure -- it could be at least a half-brainer. Hopefully, the minister with half a brain (I forget whether that's Moe, or perhaps Shemp) quietly persuaded the others to let this "band" business fade into oblivion, while allowing face-saving statements such as "we're studying it."

Of course, that's wishful thinking. I have been wrong about OPEC so far this year, but I think sooner or later they will shoot themselves. I hope it's later.

Question: to what extent are natural gas and oil substitutes for one another in the overall energy picture? more specifically, if oil prices tank again, making it a cheaper source of energy, how much and how fast will that impact demand for natural gas?
