I agree...a tax cut would be a very dumb thing to do.

Paying off the debt, however...? But, nah...they don't have enough spine for that, do they?

OJ, I wouldn't be too sure about that bet. If you recall AG's H-H testimony (time before last) he said, in effect, (I assume from his earlier experience) that the Fed can't stop a stock market bubble but it can keep a stock market crash from seriously hurting the economy. That may be just hubris, but a test may be in the making. (AG is god-like when he saves capitalism from it excesses -- ala 1987. I think he likes that role.)

Where did you get that fantasy? The fed is concerned about banks, not the "little guy." Forget that at your peril!
