You'll find UUNET to be a good choice because they have a lot of pipes to many areas of the country, so you don't have to go through 5 "intersections" along the on-ramp just to get onto the "information highway"

At times, I use 2 services: AT&T and UUNET. My main reason is because my quotes provider uses UUNET, so I dial-up to UUNET on my quotes system and my broker's server use AT&T, so I dial-up to AT&T on my order entry system. This way I get the most direct, least hops connection with the shortest ride on the internet in general for each connection.

Now if I had xDSL or cable available, it might be a different story.
