China reaffirms no devaluation of yuan

--Singapore's MAS: Dlr/yen discussed at Manila Framework meet

Singapore--Aug 29--China reaffirmed it would not devalue the yuan in
the Manila Framework meeting here in Singapore, a spokesman for
Singapore's Monetary Authority (MAS) said at the end of the first days
meeting. He also said that the dollar/yen exchange rate had been discussed
at the meeting in "a lively debate".
