From YAHOO Board: buyout rumors

Rumors of IBM buying CPQ on AOL Boards
by: Karan_19 93163 of 93164
I don't know if these rumors are true or not (would love to believe they are) because I'm not a member of AOL and don't have a DATEK after hours trading account, but the following was posted on the Raging Bull message board about an hour ago:

All over the AOL Compaq board is discussion about the IBM offer of 32-35 before the market opens tomorrow. Does anyone know if CPQ traded up after the close on Friday?

I don't see the logic of a lot of what goes on in the world of Wall Street, but do know that CPQ at 32-35 is a bargain, even with all of its problems. We'll see in a few hours I guess (unless trading is halted). I still believe in CPQ long term anyway. Go forth and Compaquer!
