Horizontal drilling technology article:

Oil-field service companies say that by using the latest technology they could drill a well at One Shell Plaza in downtown Houston, swing horizontally, and after several miles of boring, hit a Galleria-area target half the size of a business desk.

The technology behind that boast comes in many forms.

This was the old ARAKIS play!? So they finally got that pipeline built? Amazing. I remember reading the old Arakis thread and how we would all be rich if and when they would just complete that damn pipeline. Potential to be the biggest oil find on earth! I got quite a history lesson on that one regarding rebels, government, reserves, how long would take to repair pipeline etc. etc. Zeevhed, Razorback, were some of the main posters...ah the good old day days. I think even Doug F. was there telling us what heathens we were for investing in such a corrupt country and stupid company. Should of listen to you Doug.
