Oops! Sorry, I should have looked at the article before I made the answer. I also read another article at the same site which basically laid out the evidence. Multiple contemporaneous declarations by Broaddrick which have been consistent, witnesses who saw the damaged lip, etc., Clinton's schedule put him in the town where she alleges the attack occurred and of course most damaging of all, the evasive form of Clinton's failure to deny the allegation. I also saw the Broaddrick interview and I found her most convincing. She's got no book deal and avoided the media for a long time. Its real hard to discredit the story but on the other hand, given the passage of time and serious nature of the charge, I don't think there is much to pursue. I just thought it was interesting juxtaposed with the Bush cocaine flap. No witnesses, just whispers and plenty of media hound dogging. JLA

Did you happen to see the show "This Week" today? I came in a little late. They had some sort of republican focus group, I was wondering what the setup was for that, if any. Because the group they chose was largely homogeneous, somewhat representative of the right-wing bigot stereotype... all white... all over 50. They were all moderately pro-gun, saw abortion as one of many issues/didn't care, resented Forbes for his wealth. It would be ok if they presented it as a focus group of "conservative republicans from NH", etc. You didn't get much of a feel for a big tent from these folks... and they weren't exactly dripping with key insights either.
