Coug is pretty much by his own admission a lurker here---stopping in to straighten us out when he feels we err- and he is welcome, I normally have enjoyed his brief visits! The question was perfectly fair as you have expressed it, and quite inoffensive, but the manner in which it was couched last night was not. He had already filled in the balloons over our heads and he wouldn't erase. I would be willing to guess that not one- let me think- nope- not one of us is a strong proponent of jailing drug users (users--- not dealers, who should be uzified- couldn't resist, PCM) But he didn't propose a hypothesis and ask us to either help him prove it or disprove it, which would have been interesting and fun and cooperative, he came after us with what he labeled an assumption but which sounded more like an accusation, setting himself up as the final arbiter of what is right and just. Frankly, when someone informs me that he sees himself as "setting us straight" in our choice of topics, as if we needed to be, I resent it. THAT is what I object to---not the question itself.

SHE's a talented artist who lives a non invasive life in Canada.
