Unless you were asked to preserve a confidence, either openly or implied, what harm could there be in providing the information? You would be both, helping out others less able to acquire it (often the category I find myself falling into) and "keeping the source honest" so to speak. Those involved with the company will also get feedback impressions of how "joe public" reacts to the information as I'm sure they must be aware of what is written.
