OT, zbyslaw, thanks for the article. Abby has been right so far, so why doubt her now?

I wonder if we will see another October drop just because it has become commonplace. Any short term holdings in my portfolio are going to be jettisoned aat the end of September unless there is good reason not to at that time. Into y2k, I expect performance like the past couple of years; choppy but upwards. We could see a huge rally in January when the world actually does not end. brian

LOL. Hasn't anyone told her that stock prices have been rising a little faster than earnings for the last (I forget) how many years.

I think if stock prices reverted back to rising only as fast as earnings, we might be in a bear market... :)
