ted and kap - <RE <<<I have noticed that when an AMD poster gets out of line, others often gently reprimand him. On the other hand, I have never seen Intel posters reprimand their own. I am directing this criticism directly at you and Ten, because you are the only people from the Intel thread who could have played a moderating role.>>>

I just try to take care of my own house. I do not consider myself a moderator of any sort. I can get as emotional at times as the next guy. I've had my moments.

I lurked these threads for several months before I joined SI. I would submit that there are some "interesting" posting styles on both sides of the aisle.

Sometimes it does get out of hand, but beneath the rhetoric I often find a core message.

Often the posting here that is deemed curt is very entertaining, IMHO.

The only reason I responded to Pravin was that I thought he was addressing the post to me, and it seemed like a big disconnect between what he was saying and what we had been debating. I must admit that it was so strong in its passion that I missed the reference to me entirely. If I had seen that, I probably wouldn't have even responded to it, and just chalked it up to a bad day.
