Actually, we think the hypesters are foolish, but we dont think they should be thrown off of SI. Except for those that tend to stray off of the mark when we are right in our assessment. Then they follow a familiar path of claiming that we are doing something illegal. We rarely even pursue suspensions for them either. Actually, we just assume that they stay on SI and continue their ramblings, usually the stock they were rambling about is down about 50% by then anyway.

If I understood it correctly his point was that he believes that the stocks that are "bashed into the ground" are caused by short sellers spreading propaganda on a chat room board. I find this silly beacause not as many people short stocks as buy long so the handful that does couldn't possibly bring down a stock, as I believe he pointed out. So the collapse of a stock must be primarily due to long selling.

But....the majority of people will always buy a story. It's human nature.

Am I still wrong in Batemans' meaning???
