Hey folks,

An interesting article to look at regarding MSFT marketing practices:

Show Me My Account
Forbes.com pushes the line with Microsoft ad
--------------------------------------------
Forbes Magazine is being accused of mixing ads with editorial, at least on its Web site. A publishing watchdog group is claiming that "Microsoft Daily News" is an ad that looks and feels a little too much like Forbes articles. Click on an item and you are whisked away to a Microsoft press release. Hey, that's not all that different from how
some pubs cover Microsoft! By the way, this NetFlash newsletter includes an ad and editorial. Hopefully the difference is clear. The stuff at the top that makes perfect sense is the ad. All this other junk is editorial.

Hello PJ,

You were commenting on DDNS ...

So was the article, that you were commenting on, referring to IETF Dynamic Updates to DNS (RFCs 2136 and 2137 - ftp://ftp.isi.edu/in-notes/rfc2136.txt and ftp://ftp.isi.edu/in-notes/rfc2137.txt) - or were they referring to anyone's proprietary implementation of a dynamic DNS service that operates within their own contained network?

Or maybe the article was referring to the many drafts that are proposed for dynamic DNS: ietf.org

I'm not sure the exact status of Novell's implementation of the above mentioned RFCs and drafts, which is what I would suspect the article was referring to ...

Just curious ...
