Dan5-2 - Re: "A letter dated Aug. 21, to personal computer makers, which was cosigned by AMD and MSI, said that they found some of the motherboards equipped with AMD's chipsets lack compatibility and cannot fulfill PC cold starts"

Wow ! AMD's chipsets lack compatibility and cannot fulfill PC cold starts

This is Deja Vu All Over Again !

First - Windows 95 won't boot on 350 MHz K6-2s!

Second - Gateway/MSI can't get K6's to boot unless thay allow a "long boot time"

Third - the AthFLOPs are incompatible with their own chip sets and "won't cold boot".

If nothing else, AMD IS CONSISTENT !
