J.... the trigger on my type of day trade is the morning call stock/sector upgrade (CNBC or Briefing.com are both good sources)... macro techs mean little.... institutions lay their bets at days end.... they are oft wrong/right.... when day trading, I look for their day end buys then hedge with the morning calls..... my day trades are strictly that.... I'm out at the end of the day.... as with any short term strategy, risk is extremely high and each trade should be hedged..... I will oft trash a watch list based on market conditions and morning brokers calls..... nothing is concrete..... if you can't watch the tape, I wouldn't day trade.... ES PS I found it gratifying that you're trading many of my favorites....
