Compaq Reduces Prices On Armada Notebook PCs Up To 22 Percent HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 30, 1999--Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE:CPQ - news) today announced price reductions of up to 22 percent on a number of Armada notebook PC models including the Armada 1500c, 1750, 7400 and 7800, as well as the award-winning ArmadaStation II Desktop Expansion Base. The company is passing along significant savings to its customers on a broad range of Armada models, further enhancing Compaq's commitment to offer enterprise customers an array of award-winning notebook products providing outstanding quality and value. For example, starting at $1,549(1), the Armada 1500c Series now features a model with a Mobile Celeron processor at 366MHz, a 12.1-inch color STN (super twist nematic) screen and Microsoft Windows 95.
