Agreed completely, Jill. BTW, one problem I am having with the Puts I have been selling on QCOM is that they trade very lightly and it's been difficult trying to cover. The big benefit has been, however, that I haven't had to worry too much about covering!!!

Jill, I am also holding calls on MSFT/INTEL and QCOM all a little longer term. I bought the Q calls when the stock dropped Friday and plan to sell these at the first good opportunity today. Holding some January Intel and MSFT calls doesn't bother me much.

In any case, i am realizing that i don't want to get aggressive in options again (meaning short term expirations)---i might unload my Januarys and possibly pick up Leaps because the spreads between the bid and ask have become so low due to the competition among the options exchanges.

Selling covered calls and selling puts is a less risky strategy, a good thing, IMHO.
