Howard, thanks .... that's what I'm doing now.
I find it difficult to understand why it would be so hard to include the dividend data in the scan function, ie. the "announce date", "x-div date", etc. I knew about the VB option, but that's a bit "o'er me head". Oh well, maybe in the next century ;) Also, the "yield" % number is somewhat misleading because it is apparently calculated from the last dividend amount and then extrapolated out to either a quarterly or monthly dividend to arrive at an annual figure, and then that figure is used to calculate the "yield". Thus, all issues with "special payouts" have a faulty "yield" figure. It's fun to play with this stuff. Best wishes, and thanks again ... Fred :)
