Alan: Actually I think the next four days are going to be wild and wooly. For example:

1. Lots of people gone. low volumes, manipulation of pricing with very little underlying activity.

2. The IDF is a good news/bad news story almost any way you want to read it. The bulls are happy about the Dell launch and the Intel support. The bears see any PC 133 support as a death blow to Rambus.

3. Some shorts will exit, others will enter - depending on the spin.

4. Some of the "sell on the news" camp are going to sell late this week no matter what the news.

5. A variation on this - There is no news. Everything said at the IDF is already known, Rambus price contains the news, etc. etc.

Main problem, is the timing. Week before labor day is a rough period to build meaningful momentum. Look for some interesting swings of sentiment and price.

....without us, Rambus would have become the defacto standard

God must have told him a wet string could be pushed after all.
