Hello, Marconi. The thing is that in times of scarce news, TA can be a helpful tool to identify buying and selling points. It works out more than often, so also because people stick to it and feeding back the process, magnifying trends etc. Still - there are stocks which ultimately faltered after they have risen nicely. Simply look at SNRS, a stock which had nice technicals. But the company is rotten through and through and they faltered beyond all charting lines when the FDA did not approve. That clearly shows the dangers of TA only - and few have been aware of and shorted SNRS. is
