(COMTEX) B: EBASEONE AND CISCO SYSTEMS TEAM UP TO DELIVER MISSION CRI
B: EBASEONE AND CISCO SYSTEMS TEAM UP TO DELIVER MISSION CRITICAL APPLICATIONS
TO MID-SIZED BUSINESSES

HOUSTON, Aug 30, 1999 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- ebaseOne Corporation
(OTC Bulletin Board: EBAS), an emerging leader in the Application
Service Provider (ASP) market, today announced that it is joining the
Cisco Systems' (Nasdaq: CSCO) Hosted Applications Initiative, to
provide packaged software solutions to the small and mid-sized business
markets.

According to Charles Skamser, President and CEO of ebaseOne
Corporation, "This alliance is very significant to our strategy to
quickly emerge as a leader in the ASP industry. Cisco's technical
presence and channel partners, combined with our state-of-the-art
hosting facilities and aggressive new ASP business model with flat
monthly fees, will make ebaseOne an attractive choice for the small and
medium-sized business market."

The alliance will revolve around Cisco's Hosted Application Initiative,
supported by joint sales and marketing activities. The Cisco Hosted
Applications Initiative brings together packaged software application
vendors that have applications suitable for hosting, ASPs to host the
applications, and Cisco Powered Network Service Providers (CPNs) to
install and support Cisco-based network infrastructures and customers
that can benefit from hosted solutions. Co-marketing activities will
include lead sharing, joint advertising, co-sponsored seminars
highlighting customer success stories, tradeshows and conferences.
Skamser maintains, "By leveraging the power of this partnership,
ebaseOne will be able to dramatically increase its level of service and
reduce its time-to-market for a national roll-out."

The alliance also provides ebaseOne with access to Cisco's Hosted
Application Development Lab, providing integration and benchmarking
services that will help ebaseOne maximize the performance of hosted
applications running on Cisco-based Internet infrastructures.
ebaseOne's state-of-the-art Enterprise Application Center (EAC)
utilizes a Cisco Powered Network built and tuned specifically to
deliver high-end packaged software solutions with almost unprecedented
reliability, security and performance.

"The small and medium-sized business market can now benefit from
powerful applications that otherwise would have been beyond their
reach. Through ebaseOne's aggressive ASP pricing model, these companies
can now afford top- notch technology, expert systems integrators,
enterprise class applications management and 24 x 7 customer support
for the first time ever. They can eliminate the large up-front
investments and the high risks associated with highly-sought after
enterprise systems," emphasizes Skamser, "It's really an exciting
opportunity for these companies."

"Cisco and ebaseOne provide a highly scalable and flexible IT
environment for hosted applications that enable ASPs to accommodate
rapid growth in application use," said Eugene Lee, vice president of
marketing at Cisco's Small/Medium line of business. "The Cisco Hosted
Application Initiative simplifies the technology issues for small to
medium-sized companies and allows them to focus on running their core
business."

About the Application Service Provider industry The ASP industry has
been compared to the Internet Service Provider (ISP) industry in the
early 1990's. It is expected to grow explosively within the next three
years. According to International Data Corp., corporate spending on
high-end outsourced applications, such as ERP and e-commerce, will grow
from an estimated $150.4 million this year to $2 billion by 2003, at a
compound annual growth rate of 91%. This represents only high-end
applications, and doesn't take into account the majority of software
applications currently used by most businesses. According to the
Gartner Group, e-mail outsourcing alone could reach $2.56 billion
annually by 2002.

The ASP industry is growing so quickly because it solves all of the
major financial problems typically associated with high-end software
applications. For the first time, even small and midsize businesses
will be able to afford almost everything they need to streamline their
operations, up to the most complex enterprise-wide software
applications on the market. ASP software hosting allows companies to
access applications that are stored on central servers. In the past,
companies were forced to purchase one-time software product licenses
that were either based on the number of seats or the size of the
company. This presented a major problem, especially for small and
midsize businesses that were not able to afford the significant
up-front cost required to purchase the software. Additionally,
companies then had to contract for the necessary professional services
to implement those applications, including consulting and training
services.
