Teflon, Tech2000: While we all would love to see softy and
other move up, take a look back a year ago and see what
happened in Sept. and Oct. even when Fed was helping with
rate cuts. Now the fed. environement is reverse and market
at all times highs, and several fears : inflation, y2k right
in front of us. I don't see the environement being as benign
as you see it.

The mood of the market turns the other way really fast.
Several nasdaq leaders are forming head and shoulders
patterns. Take a look at chart of CSCO, MSFT, and others.
I hope I am wrong and the bullish view is right.

For example MSFT so far is showing similar price behavior as
last year.

Last year:

July peak at 60, then Aug low at 50 and then Aug end at 58
and then Sept. low at 44.

This year:

July peak at 100, then Aug low at 81.75 and then Aug end at
92ish then Sept. low at ??? (could be around 80). We will
see. For softy there is short term pressure from
- no tracking stock
- DOJ trail news starting Sept 10th.
- Win2000 delay (See computer world story).

Having said that, softy is a great stock to buy around
Dec.99 as I expect a yearly low then and a strong run up
in Jan.
