my point is this. as the cheif proponet of the thin client solution, where are the solutions that will send $$$ back to scott and ed? Thin client $ for Sun are in selling more big iron (higher margin) to serve thinapps. More reliance on server/network technology will also require more fault tolerant back-end architectures == more iron; the "network is the computer" ... for better or worse. A down network or server could mean hundreds thin client users standing around the water cooler iff not implemented properly. msft has all the cable companies locked up due to cmcst, att, and paul allen so set top boxes are out. No doubt that Msft & Paul Allen's aggressive cable strategy has bought seats and has established CE as the primary set-top platform; I think even CPQ were re-thinking their Linux palm/set-top strategy after the MSFT AT&T investment. The only thing that may ruin the party is the DOJ - who no doubt will be keeping a close eye on the big gorilla's T & MSFT. Cheers James
