Speaking of large block buys there have been 3 six figure buys at the ask on Oxy this hour (though I'm not a big believer that block buys are a good trading indicator)

As previously posted I think this is a good risk/reward play with good takeover possibilities. Very favorable article in LA Times Sunday business section for those interested. I liked the part about how their average production cost per barrel at their huge Elk Hills facility has gone down from $4.50 per barrel to $1.50 since 1998.

Oxy is worth less today than it was 20 years ago so there is a lot of ill will to overcome, but this is my favorite low volatility pick, it moves like molasses.

Go to www.latimes.com and search for Occidental Petroleum to read the article.

I promise this will be the last I say about it.

Wendisman et al...

I'm curious why XYBR has been identified at all as a company of interest. While I agree that the 'concept' of wearable computers is intriguing, we all know that a good concept does not necessarily equate with a good investment. From my limited exposure to the company, they seem to be cash strapped and on the verge of even greater reductions in their share price. I wouldn't be surprised if a reverse stock split was a year down the road.

Am I missing something on this one??

Wes, totally off-topic. . .

Mark and Bryan here in Nashville played a hilarious joke on a guy in your very position this morning. His girlfriend told the radio personalities that he had some teeth extracted, but was home to answer the phone. They called him. . .but acted like they had a speech impediment. So when the guy with the tooth extraction was asking them what they wanted. . . the DJ with the phoney slurred speech says, "are you making fun of my speech impediment?"

L O L

They kept him on the line answering these stupid questions for 20 minutes until they told him that his girlfriend had set them up. . . . he said jokingly, "Ahm, guhnah kuhl ha, when sha guts home."

Get well soon, Wes. . . .I think XYBR sales were stop orders that got filled.
