I think the answer is yes too, but not without retooling, and not immediately. That was at least implied in the article on Fujitsu retooling some of their DRAM lines for flash over the next year or so.

The good part of the shortage is that prices will be stable for the foreseeable future, and almost certainly through the Christmas and winter season. The bad part comes when all of the added capacity comes on line. One hopes that flash manufacturers don't repeat the painful lessons learned in the DRAM story of the past decade or more. They are the same players, for the most part; have they learned anything? Tune in this time next year for the answer to that and other burning questions of the investing universe.
