Companies should be focused on earnings and future potential, not issuing press releases. PR value on customer wins is short lived. I mean, aren't they *supposed* to be signing up companies? They have to to make their numbers.

Perhaps the market is thinking that there is more competition out there. I've heard HUMers say things like 'there isn't anything that OTEX has that we can't build and sell' (true); DCTM has OTEX-like additions to their line. The ever present Lotus is there. And MSFT/roll it your own will always capture a part of the market.

Perhaps the hey day for OTEX is over? Not judging, just trying to understand.

Or perhaps the market finds DM just too blah considering the available alternatives out there. Seems like some DM and workflow and content management and publishing capabilities are showing up on lots of different applications. New uses, new players, all drawing budget dollars from the same pit.

This thread is pretty dead, perhaps some contrary opinion is needed to get things rolling again.

PS: On the acquisition of PSSoftware, its a reasonable move. HUM/PCDOCS bought out a RM product as well. FILE is relying on partnerships. DCTM has some RM functionality in their product line.
