Tanaka Cap Mgmt: Internet Correction
Possible By Yr End

NEW YORK -- Technology is driving the stock market, but the Internet
could give it a jolt this year, said Graham Tanaka, president of Tanaka
Capital Management.

"The Internet is a baby and it's totally revolutionizing retail," he said during a
CNBC interview Monday. However, citing price-to-earnings multiples of
150, he added, "I can't tell you with great confidence that we don't have
another correction coming before the end of this year."

He is more positive about the semiconductor sector, particularly Intel Corp.
(INTC), which has been his company's strongest investment.

He also cited Novellus Systems Inc. (NVLS) as a leader in chemical vapor
deposition, and ASM Lithography Holding N.V. (ASML) as a leader in
photo lithography for imprinting semiconductor chips. He predicted "three
strong years in both companies."

In the telecommunications industry, his largest holding is Qualcomm Inc.
(QCOM). With 800 or 900 patents, Qualcomm is the "intellectual property
leader in the wireless space," Tanaka said.

He also recommended ADC Telecommunications Inc. (ADCT) and Nextel
Communications Inc. (NXTL).

Is it fair to say that many might not have thought Q would have touched 137 a few weeks ago? The 50 day MA is rising and several weeks from now when we get the SEPT/OCT blues, don't be surprised if we hit.

JMTC's. I bought more today, almost in the club! <gg>
