1998 (1094mt) was an Asian aberration, which CC and I have discussed. The 10year average is 504mt, and I suspect we will be closer to 400mt for 1999 for recycling. 10year average CB sales is 265mt.

With the level of crime we're experiencing I have to wonder if the large part of scrap sales are the results of theft being disposed, since currency is usually much harder to identify. Somehow I don't see the thieves as collectors of endless chains, rings, bracelets etc.

What a depressing thought that is!!!!!!!
