I'd recommend staying out of the cemetaries, at least the ones close to the French Quarter. They've become a good place to get mugged. Are you going with a group? That might be safe. Or you could visit ones that are further from the French Quarter. Tell me what you like to do ~ eating is, of course, sublime in New Orleans. When we go, we have to orient ourselves to the children, so we go to museums, the Zoo and the aquarium. I like the ferry ride you can take from the foot of Canal Street across the river, and back, it's free, and you get a great view of the river. A lot of people like the river boat rides up and down river, I've never taken one, myself. Do you like to gamble? Shop? Listen to music?
