Gersh, I've been doing the same thing, but my movement time is immediate (at close the same day).

Not trying to insinuate anything (no offense) <g>, but re your -

Watching the various things going on now today I put in an order to
move from an SPX kind of fund to a foreign fund. I should get
tomorrows close price for the sell and Thursday close price for the
foreign buy.


If you are still in the s&p type fund and will get tomorrows close price to get out, shouldn't that have been done a few days ago?
Don should be getting a "buy" signal (albeit a short term buy, I am assuming) in 1-2 days.

I mention that because I am looking for a short term entry and it is very hard timing this.
