Clicking from Amazon.com to Barnes-andnoble.com is like walking from a Wal-Mart to a good bookstore. B&N is focused much more on
books and is somewhat more highbrow (Amazon, unable to make real money on books, tries to be many things to many people). With a
nice, clean layout, the site offers deep information on each title and a long list of book-related sundries: contests, New York Times
reviews, text books, e-books, cartoons and a link to the New York Review of Books.

B&N's music site holds its own with the record departments of any on-line megastores.

BEST: Great information on used and out-of-print titles.

WORST: Little personalization--and no cup of Starbucks while you shop.
