I think they went off on this because Ca recently passed some major gun control legislation. Calif. Governor Enacts Sweeping Gun Control Laws They also take aim at gun shows, requiring that all gun show promoters be certified and that sellers at the shows provide information on their backgrounds. And they ban minors from attending gun shows unless accompanied by an adult. go2net.com This governor was elected by a landslide to do just what he is doing. I couldn't be happier about this. But I don't think its just here... I even saw something on 60 minutes last night where Chicago is going after the gun manufacturers. I was just commenting on that tired defense ... "x" was a murder weapon, lets ban "x"... as some sort of defense when it comes to reasonable gun legislation. Today its a fish. Last week it was a hammer... garbage truck... knives... toys, you name it. Sure there are lots of ways to kill people if you want to get creative about it but guns don't do much else.
