AH well, Dan would never do anything with a group. Groups are anathema to Westbrooks.
A bizarre afternoon:

CW informed us that he starved to death this weekend because the meal plan doesn't feed them on weekends and since "he has NO CAR unlike 99.9% of the students", he had to go hungry. So Dan railed for a while about the amount we were paying for room and board and then we went to the grocery store. I kept saying, "Cans of spaghettios will cost twice as much to ship as to buy there", and he kept saying, "Well, It's worth it, I'll feel better."
So we bought 85.00 worth of food--including a microwave container that cost 9.99, so he can microwave entire gourmet dinners probably better than anything he ever got here at home-- and all the things that Dan wishes someone had sent to him when he was in college, and they're lying in the kitchen-- bags and bags.

I said, "So! WHat now?"

He said, "Now you box it and mail it to CW."
And he went into the den and turned on the TV!

I can't be mad though, because he also drove around looking for the mailman who left a slip in the mailbox saying he had a registered envelope for us. I went into hysterics sure that it was my manuscript being returned with a note saying, "Hahahahahaha--is your local McDonald's hiring?"

But we couldn't track the mailtruck down, and I have to wait til tomorrow.
