Ish, Your haircut just reminded me about a tough couple of years in my past. It happened around...hmmm... guess it might have been in 1960, back when I had very long hair. One day, out of the blue, my mom suddenly got this brainstorm and announced that she was going to take me to the local hair salon to get a "Pixie cut". She thought it would look "cute" on me. I didn't like the sound of that too much...especially that word -- Pixie... "Pixie?? Wasn't that some kind of annoying little fairy that lived under cabbage leaves or something?" Somehow that didn't seem too dignified to me. After all, despite my long hair, I was a rather distinguished tomboy of some notoriety. That Christmas I had asked for, and received, a pretty slick Sheriff's kit...which consisted of pearl-handled six-guns in a leather holster, felt cowboy hat, and a badge. Heck, I was the terror of the neighbourhood and pretty proud of it at the time. How would it look if the local sheriff suddenly had to be seen in a Pixie Cut??!!.. ugh... Despite great protests, I was dragged off to the beauty salon to have my long locks hacked off and my hair styled into the hated Pixie Cut. Well......... Mom's plan kinda backfired. Instead of me looking like some cute little Pixie, I just looked like a boy who had had one of those do-it-yerself haircuts using scissors and a wooden bowl. People started mistaking me for my younger brother and kept saying to my mom... "My how your son has grown!!". Our family photo album was soon filled with about 2 years worth of photos in which my brother and I look like identical twins boys... except that I was the taller one wearing the sheriff's badge... Yep...Bad haircuts... ugh... I know the feeling. Try to make the best of it Ish... Get yourself a sheriff's badge and a couple of pearl-handled six-guns...and a big felt cowboy hat that covers the whole mess...a couple of years from now... Heck, it will just be a bad memory....;-}>
