<<I can
find most these items on my hard drive easier than surfing for them again.>>
And in the case of music, if you wanted to play 10 of your favorites together, it would be awefully difficult to do if you had to search for each song on the internet and very easy if each was on your hard drive. Maybe someday agent technology will make searching faster and easier than today, but I'm not holding my breath. Mark's point about there being a cost to everything in one form or another is easy to forget today. But when your "agent" retrieves things via your verbal command and you don't see advertising any more, there will be another cost. We also shouldn't forget that alot of internet content today is subsidezed by shareholders and venture capitalists who will someday expect profits instead of losses. -Z

Mark,
Interesting. I, on the other hand, save nothing. Yet, I still have more information available than I can manage.
I envy your discipline.
