Intel to demo Merced tomorrow? theregister.co.uk If this really happens it will be just ~2 weeks from first silicon to a public demonstration on a completely new architecture, new chipset, new motherboard, new operating system and new apps. It took AMD nearly 1 year to demo their K7 on existing operating systems, existing apps and new chipset(?). This will truely be unbelieveable if it really happens. EP
