johnd:What is the boolean problem with 9/9/99. Did we not survive 8/8/88 or 7/7/77?
Sincerely,JF Dowd (not to be confused with johnd)

9/9 : First y2k bug 9/9/99

Actually we've already had at least a few states hit their fiscal year 2000 with no reported problems. So this will be the second class of the Y2K bug (even though it's not related to Y2K at all).

JohnD: It's GOV's responsibility not to have the citizens'
wealth depending on stocks like those Taiwanese' protestors
suggested.

Of course, silly me. This is party time and no official
should spoil the party. Our white house is fun house.
Hey, I'm for it. What the heck! Join the party.

Excuse my stupidity, how's money got printed?

Why do I have to earn more and more of this stuff just to
get by if there is no inflation.

Ah, sorry, forgot about 'productivity' and 'know how'.
That's why you have to pay more for assets, not inflation.

Of course it's not bubble. It's natural progression to
'better, bigger, more' of something, just not BUBBLE.

Not yet, until it bursts, then it's a BUBBLE.

With the interest rate going up, the fixed income folks
can afford to buy more and pay more. See, even if rate
goes up, it will come around and have higher stock/asset
price. So, don't worry. It's all in the system. Sometimes
it's in your pockets, othertimes in someone else.

I think AG is DOMED. He will be remembered as spoiling,
poisoning a generation's minds that people will go postal
the monment 'STOCK PRICE' won't go up(straight up) or the
'direction' it NEEDS to be.
