It looks like Sony is ready to announce its own portable music player now that it has a 64MB Memory Stick:

sony-europe.com

Most digital music players on or coming soon to the market only offer 32MB Compact Flash disk or MultiMediaCard.

As we know Compact Flash is close to announcing a 192MB disk, but they are too expensive.

The consumer will probably just stick to the 32MB or smaller.

Just a few months about Sony was working on a 16MB Memory Stick.

I think they are ready to compete.

However, if they want the portable digital music player to help them make Memory Stick an accepted standard in the market, they will have to come out with a very impressive Digital Walkman.

How could Sony make its Digital Walkman better than the other portable digital music players that are on or coming to the market soon?
