Amen, Bob.

A proper code of conduct is what gives any thread high credibility. I am not interested in anyone's personal feuds and would prefer that they not have any. But, if they must, this is definitely not the place to do it.

Thanks for saying it so well, Bob.

Also, my thanks for the many posts from NYC for those of use who could not be there.

The best of luck to all.

JRH

Thank you. Your distinguished comments are almost as reassuring as your presence on the thread. Insight, not short sightedness, are the keys to most all investment decisions that we make. Not all will be right, but they will be reasoned out.

I have learned more from this thread about EBPP than I could have in any text book. The last thing I would want to see are those that have taught me so much to not actively post. I, like others, would be disadvantaged.

Again, thank you for your words. Sorry to have missed you this weekend -- life has been all too hectic.

Well said,

As always, Thanks for all your support, your willingness to share your 40+ years of experience in the markets and life in general.

>>>Investing is a high pressure, highly emotional experience, since there there is a lot at stake for many of us. This thread sets a high standard when it discloses important information and reasoned opinions.

Ain't that the truth....

>>>Because of the price volatility in the stock, some of us have found it profitable to maintain trading positions in Checkfree, as well as long term holdings. I do that at times myself.

And I've been here long enough to remember when Charlie Smith said IF Bob ever sells any, then we got something to worry about....that went off my back like water on a duck and it still does...no offense. As I tend to do daily what I want, and not a super rich guy like you?

As I always figured you would do what you would do, no matter that some 42 year old Michigan man struggling to create a better life for his family would would say, and that would actually impact your multi-million share position in this stock on something I had said.

Naaaa...naaa...this is my sounding board to test MY thinking, about what I'm thinking...and I always figured if I was so far off base there were 100,000+ plus posters here just willing to tear me a asshole for my thinking.

The other alternative, is to get a new asshole handed to you for not thinking for yourself.

So do you MACD trade, like I do or what do you use?

I would like to add my share of kudos to Ron S., zuma, and others who made this year's conference a big hit in the Big Apple.

It seems as though the terms "Checksperts" and "Checksters" have somehow evolved into deriding titles on this thread, but I have had the pleasure and opportunity over the past two years to personally meet a number of the individuals who are ostensibly referred to as such, and I know them to be people of high integrity and honor, not to mention incredibly bright and insightful. I refer to Benny, zuma, Big Al, Brooks, Sam Biller, and several others who have been material contributors to this thread. I want to personally thank these guys and others for the "Checkspertise" they bring here everyday because I truly appreciate their efforts.

By the way, for those who may be wondering, Rob C. showed up at the conference fully clothed. He did shave his head, though apparently mourning the no-show status of Tlindt. It is sometimes surprising to match faces with posters, but not with Rob C.he looks just like you might expect. He was the evening's entertainment for those of us that stayed out late Saturday night. Thanks, Rob.

I especially enjoyed visiting with p_friend and his wife in New York. Friend is a pHD, a company CEO, and a closet Checkspert himself. Come on out once in awhile and share your insights with the thread, Friend! We can all benefit from your input!

Of course, the weekend wouldn't have been the same without Bob Gintel, whose very presence adds dignity and credibility. Thanks for being there, Bob, and thanks for your contributions of wisdom to the thread.

See y'all next year! Maybe in Las Vegas? Or Lake Tahoe? Or did we decide to go to Michigan?

Amen to Bob G's post. Negative personal comments are not useful. What counts is information and ideas; questions, answers and hypotheses. Also worries and concerns.
Also amen to the thanks to Ron S for the session on Friday, which was very helpful.
