Actually, there are many people much smarter than me who have already done the stats on dow movements. You seem to know much more about the history of the dow than I do. I do have some books that refer to that work, however. I have no idea how they compile the data or even if it is accurate. I do, on the other hand, know exactly where I got my data <g> and therefore I can trust its accuracy! <gg> (for those that might be reading and don't get it, LG was the one who provided me with the historical data from which to do the statistical work) Matt
