Yep, I read that. Of course I think its more the recent violence than the regulation that caused it. But there is no way to know. BTW I am still looking for a definitive article about the yosemite murder investigation, which I will post here. This was a case where the police falsely accused some ex-cons of these gruesome murders, and there were statements in the papers that physical evidence existed linking these guys to the murders (fibers in car, etc.). Of course it didn't go to trial but it turned out they had the wrong guys, and it cost another girl her life. But to see these false claims made me think twice about those OJ jurors... if this kind of stuff really does happen all the time in their neck of the woods maybe they genuinely believed he was innocent... you never know.
