With more than 75 per cent of over 24,000 respondents planning to develop application level projects, and 23 per cent considering server-side CORBA development, Inprise responded by announcing the first commercially available CORBA solution for Linux. According to a recent report by International Data Corporation, because applications drive operating system sales, having more applications available on Linux will drive Linux in Enterprise computing.
