What's truly incredulous is that they have been wrong for so long and now are consulting each other for advice!

Right on the money Paul...

news.com

Free for all!!!!! This will snowball....

Both StarPortal and the conventional versions of the software will be given away for free to all comers, not just the educational and home users that used to be able to get Star Office without paying.

All the major portals will eventually offer it... It will be installed on many new computers as a first exposure to an office suite....and many many small companies will use it... Why???? BECAUSE IT IS FREE!!!

Eventually going to XML format will allow universal exchange of documents.. MS Office will follow...

Of course I could be wrong.. ;-)

Cheers,

Roger
