Is this wrong?.... No, as long as the rules being imposed are the result of a process which develops a consensus among available views, and not simply impositions made by one individual or group at the expense of all others. These regulations are not simply and arbitrarily imposed. They are the consequence of a process, and I can petition for redress if I feel that they are imposed unjustly. We were speaking of extremism, and the dangers of extremism in any cause....
