Hi Kemble:
I notice there are still one or two non-believers here(G)
If any company in history can survive the effects of Mr. Greenspans speeches it will be Dell.
I have been reading a book called "Finding the champion within" by Bruce Jenner. Some very useful stuff in there. Your brother could have written one just like it.
Goals are important. Five years ago I did not have any
noteworthy financial goals except survival. Had 40 shares of Dell and
some other stocks.
Planned to spend around 50K and build a little house here in Texas, make $300/mo on stock investments.
By last Jan I was stareing $1 mm right in the face.
Since Feb my goal has been mostly survival, rather than an aggressive pursuit of self-made goals, and that leads to some
confusion.
Summary.
1. I think you understand goal-setting and the potential
better than anyone here.
2. If one has a major financial goal, then the Dell SI thread is the place be- collecting ideas and techniques from some of the most experienced and successful investors we have access to.
Same old story, written many times, set simple but high goals If someone comes here to make a 'name' by shorting the
stock of the decade then thats his goal. Nearly always leads to a short, perhaps exciting, but financially unrewarding existence.
