Re: Brain/Brawn -- Dycom's Stock Price Turmoil

Thread,
I don't know if any Last Milers have been following DY's problems of the last three days. It was caused by one single person producing one single report on their accounting methods. It's just another sign of how powerful the Internet is as a communications medium. About $500 million knocked off the market cap of DY because of one person's opinion (who won't even release the report publicly). But, on the bright side, at least Dycom got more television airtime in two days then they have gotten in their entire 30 year history. At least the investment community knows that Dycom is a broadband infrastructure play.

I found it most interesting that Morgan Stanley is jumping in this morning and raising their recommendation to strong buy.
