BC put his opponents out of the game before they started with his Chinese money and the coffee and Lincoln bedroom money. You should congratulate GWB for being such a good candidate that people want to see him win.

Our system of campaign financing is the true threat to our democracy, as the interests of lobbyists and fat cats of every persuasion get to trump the will of the common people.

But it seems much more interesting to discuss rare incidents like Waco and fellatio in the oval office than a real threat like influence-peddling via large contributions. Federal policy should be what is in the best interests of the people, not what is in the best interests of trial lawyers, tobacco lobbyists, etc.
