I told you that if she does, it will be in such a scenario as you outlined. I told you that it is plausible. I find it unpersuasive and inconclusive, because I think that many factors favor Rudy over her. I had no need to reiterate the points I made on that score, nor to parrot additional points that chalu made. You yourself know that money is an indecisive factor; you should know that the Daily News and the Post, which have circulations exceeding the Times by a wide margin, are not particularly pro- Clinton; and I shouldn't have to point out that hauling in a bunch of Hollywood stars could very well backfire.... I have been noncommittal on the question of whether the run is serious. I am not sure that she can withstand normal electoral pressures, and I do think that there is a diversionary value. Clinton withstands scandals by managing them, not magic, and this would fit the pattern.
