Rande : thanks for input on GMGC, on free phone calls You wrote : especially with ATHM announcing yesterday that it is offering free internet based long-distance services... This is one of John Chambers (ceo CSCO) and George Gilder's calls, as the global broadband network and all its dark space is available to be filled, it must attract users, so give em the free phone calls as a perk, (IP based switching such as that of NTOP ?), then, sell em the content like video, movies and visual communicating etc.. A very very interesting way for the up'n comers to attract customers and eek at the margins of the big long distance co's ATT MCI Sprint etc. although i expect these co's to go the way of free long distance also. It's all about who embraces the concept and brings it to market first to attract customers IMHO. The free phone call strategy makes very good sense to me as strategy. Kaliico
